Trading Options on Zeta - Mobile
How to trade Options on Zeta's mobile friendly interface

Trading

  1. 1.
    Select and connect your wallet using the button at the top of your screen.

    Next, to access the full trading flow, select trade from the bottom navigation bar and then select options.

    You will then see the a full page from where you can select your option.
    These are the main parameters you can select: The Expiry: These are the dates below the chart that determine when your option settles and expires.
    Buy/Sell Toggle and the Call/Put Toggle. This will provide you with the following options (Click the links to learn about each of these:

    Strikes: These are the prices that the underlying (SOL) will be compared to at expiry to determine the outcome of your trade.

    Once you have selected your option you can then enter your trade details on the trading panel. Enter the price you are willing to trade the contract at and the quantity of options you would like to trade. For convenience we have selected the market price by default.

    Some key definitions to take note of here are:
    Initial Margin: This is what you must pay to place your trade on the orderbook.
    Trade Value: This is the value of the contracts you are purchasing. Trade value = Price Per Option x Quantity of Options.
    Maintenance Margin: This is how much capital you must keep in your wallet to keep your position open and to ensure you do not get liquidated.

    After you have placed your trade you can navigate to "Positions" using the bottom navigation bar where you can monitor both your open orders, open trades and account metrics. Simply click the position to expand it and reveal actions such and "Close Position" and "Cancel Order". You can also deposit and withdraw funds here.

    A few key terms to understand:
    Available Balance: This is the capital available in your account for trading. Note when this hits 0 your account will be open for liquidation.
    Total Account Equity: Is the total value of your account and trading portfolio. It Is calculated as follows: Account Balance + Unrealized PnL.
    Total Maintenance Margin: Is the capital in your wallet set aside to keep your positions open.
    Net Unrealised PNL: Is the total profit and loss from the positions in your portfolio.
